Sketchbook: The Destruction of the Altar

Before the war with Bartok, there was a bad omen. A Pale Figure showed up in town, telling us of bad things to come.

Bartok not only took Puddleby's altar, he also set much of town on fire.

After Bartok was defeated, exiles began the long, hard task of carrying the altar fragments back to town to be reassembled.

It did not take long for exiles to learn how to work together and form a "bucket brigade" line to efficiently transport the pieces back to their proper home in the temple.
The line through town was quite a sight.

Unfortunately, the loss of the altar made healing more difficult.
