The male humans still don't have a neck. :-(

The dorf's should be happy with the new icons they get... My complaments to the artist that made the dwarven female... Beooooooooom!!!

New Dwarf icons? Or, new old (image file) Dwarf icons?

Posted by: Habbakuk Lal on July 2, 2003 10:00 PM

Comments on the new icons. The humans are a completely mixed bag. While I adore the facial expressions, I just can't stand those gigantic shoulders. And yes they are indeed missing a neck still. The new dwarf icons are GREAT! I can't see any way to improve them. And the halflings... while the female icon looks great, I saw nothing wrong with the original halfling other than a missing face. I say keep the new face, but keep the old body. Now all we need is some sylvans with faces and we're all set!

The sylvans look perfectly fine as they are. We're already the best looking race in Puddleby! And if you look closely, you can see that we already have eyes too.

Thooms have the best eyes, flippers down! ;-)

Wood working shop now open. If you train enough you can make kegs, brooms, studded clubs, and shields.

Seems interesting but most of the items can already be obtained easier in town. The shield had promise but for some odd reason you need 600 coins plus the wood/metal the other items require.

Hopefully "new" items will be added soon to make this an interesting skill.

Brooms?!?

Posted by: Sabriel on July 3, 2003 05:42 PM

Need to visit Poly every 10 lessons. 15 ranks is required to be able to build kegs (+ 2 logs).

Was talking to a fen I met in the forest. Takes 10 lessons to make brooms. Other items take more. The broom can be used as a weapon but no info on how good it is. Now if only they could fly...

Posted by: Willow on July 3, 2003 09:36 PM

The Broom will fly if you jump off the cloud with one equiped.

I didnt say it would fly well, mind you.

Perhaps the BROOM would fly but what about YOU?

Posted by: Jeanne on July 4, 2003 08:50 AM

Oh, you'll fly, alright. The landing will be hell, though. It's a rather sudden stop, I imagine.
