Mirror Takes You to the Cloud

rockj.jpg

J'nder sent TMN the following report:

A brief note. The mirror in South Forest opens when the Dark Cloud is directly overhead. The mirror takes you to the cloud. Once you've been in you can re-enter at will. People can be chained in also, but they can't re-enter unless they are chained again or the cloud is directly overhead.

When the cloud is close the mirror shimmers.

There's a lot of varied terrain up there with beasties similar to those you'd find in South Forest.

If you fall off the edge you'll end up PND.

Thorin was first to discover this place. There's a huge stone "J" on the cloud!

I fell off and I wasn't PND. I was only mangled!

Finally the mirror quest solved! All along, all we had to do was look up... doh!

Actually, very cool. Thanks to all.

Is this palce related to the original teleportal spot you teleported to? there was a white cloud in there people where jumping from. It was a snell that was small and surrounded by a fence and stream.

I fell of and was only LMS

Applications now being taken for the Puddelby Parachute Corps. We believe that with the discovery of the right technique, exiles will be able to leap off the edge of the cloud and into the snell below. Thats right- those orga will never know what hit them!
Applicants should be in outstanding physical condition, not affraid of heights, and preferably have experience navigating Purgatory.

Idea: The Blue Thooms - Thoomcare™ All-Thoom Aerial Acrobatic Squadron!

When not performing, it would form the Thoomcare™ Airlift Rescue Team. (Well, at first airdrop, I think....)

As the song says:
Those magnificent Thooms...
They go up-tia-up-up!
They go down-dia-down-down!
(Mainly down.)

Is there a way to exit the cloud other than falling off, departing or pendanting out?

Posted by: Ruen on June 24, 2003 05:17 AM

Yes, there are two mirrors on the cloud. They lead to the two recently found teleport devices.

Ok, stupid question: Why?

Suggestion,

Howzabout putting von end oft da teleporta in da orga outback vay out in da trainer's cave or by a safe und gaurded place by za books of trillbane und dat uzar guy. Za ozer end, just leave zat by someplace like za garten oft Falenna, rather vaste zis resorce on quick trips to za south forest.

My vote would definitely be for putting it by Giayl's Guide. That assumes, of course, that it can go through paths.

What I want to know is where the original mirror room went. Perhaps someone has been messing with the mirror in the past?

It seems to me that the teleporters merely lead to the SF and back so that we can quickly get "Mirror Membership" from TC when we hear the cloud is above the mirror. Seem like a good reason to have them there for a bit, with a move to the interior of the island after a while. How do you move those things anyway?

Except moving the teleporters to OOB of Foothills will open the door for every reckless, stupid or evil person out there.

I predict that within days of the portals being moved there, there will be a dramatic increase in the number of lost exiles wandering around OOB toggling for a rescue, the number of PND exiles coming back from the foothills because they just wanted a look and people being chained/pushed/tricked into them

I suggest we place the ::clicking noise:: teleporter in town square, and the other end directly in the hallowed grounds, er::click bzz::... the Noid Cavern. This way we can easily feed.... uh I mean hunt the noids more effectively. Think about it a moment, no more trying to hunt for those stupid paths nobody of large ::clicking hiss:: and worthy size can fit into anyway. Said teleporter would work nicely for all parties concerned..... yess. ::clicking::
