Acting Troupe Needs Backdrops

starswordpic.png

Measle sent the following report to TMN:

G'day Puddleby,

Puddleby Players, Lok Groton's foremost acting troupe needs backdrops. The one we already own is very impressive but its hard to do scene changes when you only have one set.

Specifically we're after a mine/mountainous backdrop and a beach/shipboard/nautical type one.

Nonetheless, we'll be happy with fields, castle interiors, deep space, or wherever your artistic bent takes you. Just forward your pictures to me, Eldon, or any of the Puddleby Players. You don't have to be a brilliant artist and we're not fussy art critics.

Thanks arty people.

Poultry Produces Map of Ash

superchickentwo.gif

Puddleby's favorite poultry, Super Chicken, has created a map of the new Ash Island forest.

Spoiler Warning! Some of you may consider this map a spoiler that could ruin your fun of exploration. If you feel that way, please do not read further, and do not click on the map.

Super Chicken sent the following report to TMN:

Greetings fellow exiles! I kept getting lost in New Ash Forest and no one else knew their way around, so I've been mapping it! So here it is, Chicken's ugly map of New Ash Island's forest!

P.S. This map will be updated as I explore more and more! Oh, and don't enter super depart land without a huge group.

Greetings Para,

I bring you a report on the latest fashion craze, colored Dwarf helmets! Here's Hoggle lookin' fierce in black:

I don't have a sketch of the shop's interior, since I have a tail and not a helmet, but I hear the prices are a bit steep. I have to say I think they are worth it, if Puddleby's dorfs can bear to part with their coins! =)

Catnip!

How Purple Can One Dwarf Be?

stonie-purple.png

Stonehand sent the following report to TMN:

In the wake of the recent influx of fashionable Dwarves to the Lok'Groton island chain, exiles have been asking, "How purple can one dwarf be?"

Today Stonehand, sporting one of the exciting new helmet options for fashionable Dwarves, has finally answered that question, redefining the very limits of what was once considered purple.

Stonehand asked that special thanks go out to Mondegreen and Snorri for their efforts in attaining this new frontier in the realm of purpleitudeness.

Here are some fashion exciting sketches taken of Stonie McHandingson (or "Stonehand" to his friends) posing with the new helmet outside Dark Temple.

Chaos Storm #594

cl_mirror.jpg

Chaos Storm #594 has swept the Lok'Groton island chain. Please post any changes you have observed and wish to share with others in the comments. If you don't want to read possible spoilers, please do not read any further!

Delta Tao's "What's New" for v594:

4/15/2009 v594
To please universally was the object of his life; but to tax and to please, no more than to love and to be wise, is not given to men. — Edmund Burke (1729–97)

* Some gerbils were cured of astigmatism.
* Law enforcement is more flexible... in a manner of speaking.
* More options for fashion conscious dwarves.
* Lots of really obscure bugs were fixed. You probably won’t even notice most of them. But please do keep those /BUG reports coming!
* By popular demand, fighter sub-subclass testing has been extended.
* No crashes in 69 days and counting. The record is 723 days.
* You’ll have to explore to discover the rest of this Chaos Storm’s changes. Enjoy!

Geraldus Makes a Discovery in the Cloud Control Room

daangrus1.png

Chance sent the following report:

Hail, Para!

I have a very exciting EXCLUSIVE breaking news item for you. Daangrus Diggins, the construction worker in the cloud control room, has finally completed his project and broken through the control room floor!

Dwarf healer Geraldus is apparently the first to discover this long-awaited news and to descend the ladder into the brand-new snell revealed below. After a brief exploration, he sunstoned Taryn, Koraleva, and I to come and share the excitement. Currently what is found there is a new viewpoint to see what part of Puddleby is below the cloud. I took numerous sketches and have attached many of them with this note.

As you can see, Geraldus decided to take the first leap from the new viewpoint. Koraleva, Taryn, and I followed. I startled a few birds as I plummeted through the clouds, but I survived the fall and hurried back to town to make this report.

Congratulations to Geraldus for this discovery!

Cheers!
-Chance

Town got a little crazy after an . . . unnamed person decided to paint the town! The town posed for a photo but it took a little coaxing from . . . um . . . someone to get Kerrah to stand still for the portrait. Beware, there's a Pink Painther on the loose!

Conquering Book 2

kerrah_golden.gif

Kerrah sent the following report to TMN:

Hello Para,

A few evenings ago, I was on a lazy Kizmia hunt, when Shobaffum asked me if I knew of any Book 1 hunts coming up. One thing led to another and . . . we found ourselves on a hunt not only to Book 1 (where Shobaffum began training), but to Book 2 as well, where several exiles needed to train.

entry.png

Having never made it all the way to Book 2, I was both excited and nervous to be embarking on such a journey. But after a relatively short travel time of 8 Puddle-hours, we successfully conquered all the Pitch Cave snells leading to Book 2.

madeit.png

As you can see from the images, our group was comprised of a small yet talented group of healers, fighters, and everyone's favorite human Akea-boosting mystic, Ansset.

booktime.png

Upon reaching Book 2, Prince Valiant and WormTounge began studying the book. They made the sticky journey through the webs to Book 2 themselves; I didn't want to get more webs in my paws, so I have no images.

horn_tooting.png

This journey was a smashing success due to the efforts of all involved . . . here is the roster of attendees:

Althea: Fashionable Sylvan and foil to Daimoth.
Ansset: Expert Mystic, porter, snell scanner, and Akea-booster.
Cecil: Resident stubborn vanilla fighter, jokester, and deep thinker.
Daimoth: Humble leader. Okay, not humble, but he earned it. Expert leadership was integral to our success.
Dandelion: Horus expert, technicolor partner in fen crime with Kerrah, and all around ray of sunshine.
Darnok: Higgy expert, and excellent healer, when the poor thing wasn't busy crashing at inopportune times.
Daunte: Token Ranger so Shobaffum wasn't lonely, and excellent noid-killer-helper.
Gorvin: Second Lieutenant to Daimoth, pitch hitter (get it?!)
Kerrah: Coordinator, and other stuff.
Mehan: Backup Horus, sarcastic Zo, and catcher of the webs.
Prince Valiant: Dashing Champion, current student of Book 2, and all around upstanding fellow.
Sensual Clam: Darling bloodblader, and source of comic relief.
Shobaffum: Current student of Book 1, token Ranger so Daunte wasn't lonely, great killer, and excellent armrest.
Theo: Fellow horn-tooter along with Daimoth, although he's way too talkative.
And last but not least...
WormTounge: Healer, current student of Book 2, and enterprising salesman.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible!

-Kerrah
